I went out alone one night,
to have a beer or two.
There happened to be a friend of mine
and next to her was you.
She pushed off to go gambling,
you were left with only me.
You really did not want to talk,
but this changed after a drink or three.
And now my love,
how time has flown.
And with it each day,
our love has grown.
Now sweet heart you'll soon be my wife,
the one to cherish for all my life.

because I want to spend my days (and nights) with you.
